New Kids on the Block
Gordon Ramsay at 22 Bishopsgate
The Gordon Ramsay empire is, quite literally, in the ascendant this month, as the eponymous chef opens three new destinations at 22 Bishopsgate. First in line for dramatic views (level 60) is the fourth outpost of Ramsay's pan-Asian brand, Lucky Cat, a 120-cover restaurant that boasts an open sushi bar. Yet epicureans are far more excited about Restaurant Gordon Ramsay High – what could be better than combining the culinary excellence of Royal Hospital Road with the breathtaking vistas afforded by 22 Bishopsgate? Just 12 lucky diners will be able to experience this glamorous chef's table in one sitting, as flawless waiting staff serve Cornish turbot and 14-day aged Sladesdown farm duck. The wine pairings, too, will doubtless be of the luxury variety; we expect copious amounts of Krug, Latour and La Tâche to flow into the night.

Three Gorges
Li Zhang has done it again. The founder of Sanxia Renjia in Goodge Street is opening another high-class Chinese restaurant in our capital, offering a selection of delicacies from Hubei and Guangdong. With a menu overseen by Yipeng Qian, erstwhile head chef at the Michelin-starred Gouqi, Three Gorges is bound to secure its first star within two years – crispy fried oysters, Eight Treasure duck and braised lobster set the upmarket tone. The 80-cover, three-floor restaurant, however, will not appeal to those on a limited budget; its luxury set menu demands a cool £388 from each diner. The wine list, meanwhile, is bound to be fit for a Kangxi Emperor. From Li Zhang, we'd expect nothing less.
Three Gorges is open from mid February.

The Beach House Falmouth
The much-loved Beach House Group has a new member: located on the beautiful Swanpool bay, the latest incarnation is already jam-packed with thirsty regulars desperate for fresh oysters and super-pungent Picpoul by the glass. Head chef Jack Frame and general manager Katie Hemmings head up the very professional – and friendly – hospitality team, supported by Falmouth's thriving community of fishermen, growers and artisans. Both the meat and fish are cooked over a charcoal ember grill, while the group's signature Cool Box will serve takeaway coffee and food from 8:30am to 5:30pm daily. And, as the weather turns warmer, expect DJs on the terrace and a slew of Ibiza-inspired cocktails. Let the party begin!
